Kearns Building Refresh

Salt Lake City, UT

This renovation of a 10-story office building in downtown Salt Lake City—originally constructed in 1911—was delivered from concept through construction documents, introducing modern amenities and comprehensive accessibility and code upgrades.

New shared spaces, including a fitness facility and tenant lounge, are integrated within a design approach that balances contemporary clarity with historic character. Existing stone, brick, and brass detailing are preserved and celebrated, while wood elements and modern lighting introduce warmth and a refreshed workplace identity.

The result is a revitalized, competitive office environment that honors the building’s historic fabric while meeting the expectations of today’s tenants.
