University of Utah Tennis Center
Salt Lake City, UT
This concept design explored three options for the expansion of the George S. Eccles Tennis Center, ranging from a 7,400 SF renovation to a 14,000 SF addition.
Constrained by the existing gabled court structure and adjacent football facilities, the project is organized as a long, linear intervention along the building edge. The selected scheme introduces a new identity for the tennis program through a ground-up addition that rebrands the facility.
Leveraging site topography, the upper level aligns with the street to serve as the primary public entry—housing offices, a hall of fame, and event space overlooking the courts—while the lower level is dedicated to player amenities and locker rooms.
