Mission Court
Santa Cruz, CA
This +/-85-unit apartment building transforms an underutilized Westside Santa Cruz site into much-needed housing for students and young professionals, with limited parking supplemented by extensive bicycle amenities and active ground-floor commercial frontage.
Designed in a contemporary Mission style, the building uses balconies, arched openings, and a vibrant palette of stucco, wood, and terracotta tones to create a playful yet cohesive identity. Careful attention to neighborhood privacy and access informed the design, resulting in a well-integrated project embraced by both the community and local jurisdiction.
